Getting-Ready-To-Play

The first thing that you need to do when you want to play Pictionary board game with your family or friends is to divide players into two teams. Notice that it all depends on the number of participants since you may even decide o have three teams. And wow, this will be laughing without stop.

You will also need to choose a person who will be the one making a draw to illustrate the word using a pencil and paper. The rest of this person’s team needs to try to figure out what the word is. While you are choosing the first person to draw, it is important to keep in mind that all the team members will draw by turns.

In what concerns the equipment that you need to play the game, there isn’t a lot of things but there are some important. These include a pad of paper, a pencil, and then you get a category card.

Each category card explains the meaning of the category abbreviations (P) for person, place or animal; (O) for object; (A) for action, such as an event; (D) for difficult words; and (AP) for all play.

If you check the Pictionary board game, you will see that the starting place is labeled P. So, this means that each team will need to draw the person, animal or place category first.

#2: Setting The Rules:

Setting-The-Rules

If you like to play the traditional Pictionary board game, you can definitely skip this part. However, if you like and want to make things more interesting, you can add a couple of rules to the game on your own. Some people prefer to play Pictionary this one since it can be even funnier.

In case you decide to have different rules, you need to clarify to all players the rules. This will ensure that the game is played in a fair way.

#3: Starting The Game:

Starting-The-Game

To determine which team starts first, each team will roll the dice. The one that gets the higher number plays first.

One important rule is that the first word played will be an “All Play2 word. This means that the person who is drawing the picture from each team will see the card selected for 5 seconds and they then need to start drawing.

Each person who is drawing has 60 seconds (1 minute) to draw while their teammates try to guess the word. The first team to guess it, gets to roll the die.
